DirectX8/DirectInput + cygwin

I dont know if this will help you, but here is how i have used
dll's generated with visual studio
First create a .def file for the dll using the impdef tool.
Use the dlltool and the .def file to create a library (.a file).
eg. dlltool --dllname foo.dll --def foo.def --output-lib libfoo.a -k
When linking with the library(.a), the linker will report not found for
the functions in the dll, and a "@"+integer value.
Add the "@"+integer to the appropriate function in the .def file,
and create the library file again.
